This weeks issue of “High” magazine has an article about Sakis and the end of his partnership with Ilias Psinakis.

According to the article Sakis and Ilias split up when Sakis started “disobeying” Ilias views and started having his own opinion about his career. Furthermore, Ilias started appearing in various TV shows as a host and got his own sponsor, which caused another problem because Sakis’ sponsor and Ilias sponsor were rival companies and they had to start appearing separately and in various events. Spirits were heated and they started having arguments that became worst as time went by.

In various articles of the press it is mentioned that Ilias had no problems with Katia Zigouli. In fact he was the one who introduced them in the first place in spite of all the articles that made her the reason for their split up.

So they decided to take their separate ways, but Ilias never forgave Sakis for his decision according to the press..

He became Giorgos Tsalikis manager. Giorgos (a well – known Greek singer) was considered from the beginning of his career Sakis “successor” or “replacement” if you prefer and Ilias tried to make him Greece’s No 1 sex symbol, a title that belonged to Sakis. It is mentioned that the producers of the Greek version of “Saturday Night Fever” wanted Sakis for the leading part, but Ilias used his connections and influence managed to convince them to give the part to Tsalikis as payback to Sakis for his decision to end their partnership. Ilias said that Sakis appearance in Thessaloniki a few days ago was a disaster. We need to emphasize here that anyone – expert or no – may claim that the concert was a hit or a disaster, but in the end the final judge is the crowd that attended the event, and all these people had only raving reviews about the event.

The article finishes by stating that Ilias Psinakis has all the means but Sakis has the public’s love all these years and the winner of their “little war” will be the one with the greater strength, something that characterizes both of them.
