"Rouvas will not be allowed to set foot on Thrace. We will not allow another concert of shame like the one that was given in the Green Line in Nicosia"

The societies of the Greeks of the Black Sea, Cypriots, Greeks of Asia Minor, Motorcyclists and others demand that Rouvas doesn't repeat the concert of shame in Thrace.

In a protest that all the societies put together, they ask the Questions: Was his choice of place and time for the previews concert accidental? Was it just a concert? And they point out that some people are hiding behind the idea of the false reconciliation between Turks and Greeks of Cyprus and don't support what is right and fair.

Sakis Rouvas, after Nicosia decided to give 3 more concerts in Thrace. On Sunday in Xanthi, on Monday in Alexandroupoli and on Tuesday in Komotini.

Those three concerts have already caused the protest of the people who live there.

The society of Greek refugees of Xanthi, with a special announcement, asks the young people not to attend these concerts because as they are saying they are not just concerts.

In the same announcement they say that they are not racists or fanatics or irrational. They say "NO" to people like Rouvas because they ask them to lose their memories.

In the meantime, the night before last (25/6/1997) during the sticking up of bills in a village in Komotini, there was a fight between the bill - steakers and a group of students from Cyprus, enrolled in the University of Thrace. The students who were furious with the young singer started tearing the posters. The bill – posters responded by saying "We are here to unite you like we did in Cyprus"

Finally, thanks to the intervention of the more cool - headed the fight didn't become a riot.

In the next few days, we are expecting developments. The Cypriot students and a lot of young people from Komotini are determined not to let a second fiasco - concert take place, because they feel that it would harm our national interests.
