Sakis is ready!

Sakis will appear 13th in the second semi - finals of Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, according to the ballot held yesterday afternoon in the Russian capital. The Greek song will compete on May 14 among 17 countries, one of which is Cyprus, that will appear before Greece and specifically in the seventh position. The second final will be open by the Croatia entry and will continue with Ireland in second position and Latvia in third. The last two places of appearence will be occupied by Estonia and the Netherlands.

In the first semifinal to be held on 12th of May, the first two positions will be held by Montenegro and the Czech Republic, while the last will be Malta and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

As for the five favored of the competition, Russia, as last year's winner, and Germany, England, Spain and France have already taken their places in the 16 th of May final. Specifically, France will receive the 3rd place, Russia the 10th, Germany 17th, United Kingdom 23rd and Spain in the 25th.

Please note that the draw was made at the meeting of the leaders of the missions of all participating countries who are in Moscow since yesterday. They traveled to Russia to deliver the formal entries of their countries, songs and videoclips, and be informed of all organizational aspects of Eurovision; everything that has to do with the hotels, transport, security, social events, the accreditation of journalists (and not only), as well as for the new system for voting by the committees. Also in this meeting will be the election of the three new members for the referance group of Eurovision, the body which decides on the rules of music competition.

Besides the draw for the order of appearence of the participating countries, order in which their votes will be anounced was decided. The Greece's votes will be 23rd  and Cyprus 29th.
