The Greek singer Sakis Rouvas asks Expressen to help him write his love note in Swedish.

Lena Ph's flirt was a success

ISTANBUL. Lena Philipsson's flirt worked.

The dream guy from Greece, Sakis Rouvas, wants to meet the Swedish Eurovision star and now sends, through Expressen, a handwritten love note in Swedish.

"I'd love to come to Stockholm and pay her a visit", he says.

The single Lena Philipsson almost blushed when she mentioned the Greek singer Sakis Rouvas, 29, late on Wednesday.

Then she said:

"I hope he comes to my room and says hi."

Yesterday, Expressen met Lena Philipsson's Prince Charming when he was preparing for Saturday's final.

"Oh, how fun. Lena seems to be a wonderful gal", he says.

He is a gentleman

Sakis Rouvas is a megastar in his own country, and according to Greek journalists, he appeals mainly to young women.

"He is a gentleman who at the same time knows that he is good-looking, a female journalist establishes with a smile.

And now he has also knocked Lena Philipsson off her feet.

"Yes, ha ha ha ... Tell her that she is very beautiful and that she's a good singer", he says.

Has worked in Sweden

Sakis Rouvas, who lives in Athens, visted Stockholm some years ago and has also worked together with the well-known producer Andreas Carlsson, who has written songs for Celine Dion and Backstreet Boys among others.

Sakis Rouvas dreams about returning to Stockholm.

"It's a nice city. I wish to go there more often."

Just like Lena Philipsson is, Sakis Rouvas is concerned about his private life remaining private. That's why he refuses to answer the question whether there is a girlfriend of his in Greece or not.

According to a women who assists Sakis Rouvas in Istanbul, though, he has on a number of occasions brought girls to his room during the last few days.

"A real charmer"

"He is a real charmer who can get almost any girl he wants".

When Expressen asks if he wanted to pass a message to Lena Philipsson before they meet in the stadium tomorrow night, he quickly finds a notepad and a pen -- and scribbles a personal little love note to Lena.

He gets the note translated into Swedish and demands to write the Swedish translation himself.

ISTANBUL. Lena Philipsson, 38, has found her dream guy -- at the Eurovision Song Contest in Istanbul:

"He is good-looking, and has a great body."

Sakis Rouvas, 29, responds with a blow-kiss.

Expressen met Lena Philipsson late last night after the ESC semifinal in Istanbul.

During the broadcast she "fell in love" -- twice:

"Yes, the Serbian song makes you fall in love", she says. "It is so beautiful and he sings so incredibly well."

Competes against a favorite

On Saturday, Zeljko Joksimovic is one of her competitors in the final. So is Sakis Rouvas ... Lena Philipsson almost blushed when she described his performance of "Shake It!!" last night.

"It was really good, and he was ... so beautiful. I hope he'll come to my room and say hi." Then, with a sigh, the Swedish Eurovision star guessed: "But he's probably gay ..." That is however not the case.

Greek idol

Sakis Rouvas, 29, is definitely one of the biggest artists in Greece this decade. He has released five albums and his picture is on the walls of millions of young girls.

Expressen met Sakis Rouvas late last night, celebrating after being qualified for the final.

When he was told what Lena Philipsson had said, he looked happy and revealed his feelings:

"She is very beautiful."

At the same hotel

With a huge smile he then replied to the offer to pay Lena Philipsson a visit in her hotel room:

" Ha ha ... I might do that ... when all of this is over."

Both Lena Philipsson and Sakis Rouvas stay at the official Eurovision hotel Polat in Istanbul.

Both are single

When asked if he currently has a girlfriend, Sakis smiles shyly:

"I don't want to answer that ..."

Lena Philipsson is officially single since her divorce from MÃ¥ns Herngren.

Translation: Malin Forsgren, August 5, 2006 TRANSLATOR'S NOTES Although Expressen seems to get facts wrong (Sakis 29 years old in 2004???), I don't believe that this story was completely made-up. I remember hearing from different sources that Lena really fancied Sakis. I also need to defend Lena's "accusation" that Sakis would be gay. In Sweden, there are many people in show biz who are openly gay. Singers, actors and comedians, both men and women. Many of them are considered real "hotties" -- even by the opposite sex. Homosexuality is not at all as controversial in Sweden as it is in many other countries. So when Lena sighs and says that Sakis is probably gay, she does not say that to insult him. She says it because she believes that he's too good to be true and probably completely out of her reach, in the "just-my-luck" kind of sense.
