Sakis Rouvas is involved in many projects this season. Apart from his participation in the Eurovision and the TV show in ANT1, hie is leading in a U.S. film production, as a bloodthirsty killer.

The movie is finished, but the work around it just starts now. And at some point in 2009 will serve as a promo tool for the Eurovision, or would benefit from participation in the contest. It depends. 

The interesting thing is that Sakis is a playing the bloody murderer! And the film is American.

Let us take, however, things from the beginning. The movie is called «Duress» it is a psychological thriller, not splatter. The title implies that the violence comes under the rule of stress. Sakis is co-leading with the American actor Martin Ntonovan known, from many films, one of which is Â«The Portrait of a lady» directed by Kampion of Jane, with Nicole Kidman.

The Story

This is a thriller which revolves around the game of cat and mouse between a psychopath killer and a family. Sakis plays the assassin who psychologicaly blackmails the Ntonovan, a married man and father to an 11 year old girl.

The killer, ie Sakis, requires the family man to witness the murders he perpetrates by blackmailing him using the safety of his daughter, while he sets traps each time he makes a killing with fingerprints that he had obtained.

As said Sakis Rouvas exclusively to our reporters, the film is the American production, directed by the promising young Australian Jordan Barker, while behind the film lies as active producer, Julio Carro, partner of Jennifer Lopez and producer of the famous movie in Greece Â«El cantante».

Sakis contacted the producer Julio Caro through one of his managers in America who offered him the script. The opportunity on the one hand, and the complexity of role on the other convinced Sakis to say «yes».

The first draft is estimated to be ready at the end of December, followed by scheduled visits to markets for international movie festivals, while screening at cinemas will start from the eastern European countries, with the first stations to Russia and Poland at the end of May, close to Eurovision.

The rest of America and the West and Greece will see the film in September.
