By Sunday night we all knew that Sakis Rouvas will be departing on Monday for France, for the projection of the first American film entitled Duress in International film festival in Cannes.

But at noon Monday, it became known that Sakis decided to cancel the trip and stay in Athens. The event caused great impression, as this is his first major foreign production screened at a festival that annually brings together the biggest names of world film industry, and he (the protagonist) is absent!

As became known by its environment Sakis, the reason for the cancellation of the trip is purely practical (there was no direct flight to Nice, France) and has nothing to do with his disappointment at the outcome of the Eurovision. «This is not the official premiere, but a privé projection» says a friend of the Greek star. «He wanted to be there too but he could not arrive on time».

Duress The film will be screened in U.S. cinemas in September. This is a psychological thriller directed by Jordan Barker, who has collaborated with Jennifer Lopez in Enough and film cell. In the film Sakis impersonates a psychopath, serial killer.
